publication of Weblogs SL specializes in information about the world’s most successful engine in Spain, has performed more than 2,000 readers a survey of perceptions regarding hybrid cars and electric cars. The objective is to determine the direct opinion of these fans and their expectations on that car technology.
According to Daniel Seijo, editor of the publication and promoter of the idea, ‘in recent years we have become accustomed to the latest news about the automotive world is taken over by news on hybrid and electric cars. It is reasonable: it is one of the main focuses of research the brands, and is extremely popular, as it were the strength, safety and efficiency in the past. ‘
For Daniel, it seems that, indeed, be electric cars that populate the roads en masse in a not too distant future.
These are the questions:
If you had to change your car, do you compare an electric car in 2011?
Almost half of respondents completely reject the possibility of buying an electric car in 2011, and only 11% were willing to pay more for adopting the technology.
However the problem seems to boil down to money, not to the driving experience, and only 9% would choose a car with combustion engine if it cost the same as an electric motor.
And a hybrid in 2011?
They are a real alternative with pros and cons. Approximately one third of respondents if I had to move the car in 2011 prefer a classical heat engine. It makes sense, it may be our last car engine “classic”.
Another third of respondents understood that maintains all the advantages of a gasoline engine, but reducing consumption.
A 21% understand it as an alternative to a diesel engine, which you could be a mistake from the economic point of view depending on the amount of miles and the roads used.
And in last place, but with a significant 20%, there are those who prefer driving mode hybrids the classics, either by softness or representing efficiency.
At the rate the market evolves, when do you think will buy an electric car reasonable?
Just over a third of respondents fixed that date in 2015 or 2016, a very reasonable estimate. Of the remaining majority are more pessimistic and believe that date beyond 2016. Only 12% think that in 2013 or 2014 could have them, and a 1.65% symbolic believe in 2011 or 2012 and would become a reality.
Do you think electric cars / alternative be subsidized?
Overall the majority of respondents think it is necessary to give a boost to the industry if it is to implement the technology of electric cars, although 40% think they should get ahead on their own or there are better places in which to invest the public money.
In your opinion, does away with new cars driving pleasure?
About 70% think that driving pleasure will continue, the bad news is that most of the respondents think that this will come eventually, as the former will not transmit the same feelings.
Do you have a hybrid or electric car?
Of the 2.67% surveyed readers have a hybrid car, a minority. But could grow significantly in about a year and a 4.08% intend to purchase in 2011.
