AUBURN, AL—The Auburn IMG Sports Network has changed the format of the “Auburn Football: Every Day…” show and combined it with the traditional coach’s review show to offer fans more of the popular behind-the-scenes program.
“Auburn Football: Every Day…” has been consolidated with the 30-minute, traditional “Auburn Football Review” show that has featured the Auburn head football coach for more than 50 years.
The new “Auburn Football: Every Day…” show will include features, interviews, practice footage and other exclusive video surrounding the Auburn football program. It will include a long-time tradition of Auburn Network shows, exclusive footage from Auburn’s lockerroom after each football game, as well as interviews with players. Head Football Coach Gene Chizik will continue to be prominently featured in the shows.
“We are pleased to announce the longer format for Auburn Football: Every Day…,” said Scott Carr, Senior Associate Athletics Director at Auburn. “This will give fans even more exclusive behind-the-scenes access including post-game locker-room coverage as well as a compelling narrative that fans of all ages will enjoy. ”
The changes were designed to take advantage of additional production time and personnel to produce an in-depth show.
“In the past, the production staff was challenged with the short-turnaround time immediately after games, which limited the content of the shows,” said Jon Cole, general manager of The Auburn IMG Sports Network. “We feel that the allocation of additional personnel and resources, in combination with the additional time to shoot and edit the shows, will result in a better product for Auburn fans and advertisers each week. ”
As part of a collaborative effort between AU Athletics and the Auburn IMG Sports Network, IMG has added personnel to the video production staff. The additional staff will provide additional coverage of the football program, including more free digital content via AuburnTigers. com than ever before. Practice reports, webisodes and game action highlights will be more prevalent than ever for fans visiting the web site.
“Auburn Football: Every Day…” Will be seen on over-the-air stations in Birmingham, Montgomery, Dothan and Columbus, Ga. , as well as via cable on Comcast Sports South (CSS), Cox Sports and Fox Sports South. All Auburn TV shows will also be available on AuburnTigers. com free of charge. The show will airs on Friday and Saturday in all markets beginning Friday, Sept. 2. Check local listings for air times.
For fans that want to see highlights from the game, there are still many options available even without the Auburn Football Review show that historically aired on Sunday’s. In addition to traditional media outlets that show postgame highlights, highlights will be available on Auburntigers. com within a few hours after each game, and CSS will rebroadcast the game in its entirety at 5:00 p. m. CT every Sunday.
“With today’s technology and the ability to DVR games, as well as the positive feedback we have received from our fans on the Auburn Everyday show, we felt it was time to change our approach to our TV shows and provide the fans with more behind the scenes footage,” Carr said.
